AWH Special School for Mentally Handicapped, Tirur

AWH is a non-governmental organisation focussing on educational and vocational rehabilitation at Calicut. It is a Special school for intellectually challenged children. School started with 20 children at Tirur, since April 2010. It provides transportation, better education, vocational training and other life skills. The school is an authorised registered centre to take care of children with special needs. Number of children enrolled for the year 2025-26 has increased to 86. We have 9 teaching and non-teaching staffs other than a speech therapist, physiotherapist, physical education trainer and a driver.
